Anger, hurt and betrayal marked the life of Irma Ramirez, with childhood memories of abuse and family secrets that were never exposed.
First abused by her brother and then by her cousins, Irma was left feeling broken and fearful of being alone, especially at night. Begging God to heal her inside was the only way she could imagine surviving the constant abuse. After hearing a message at church, she asked if this “love” which was mentioned was also meant for her. She asked God, “If you love me, help me heal and help me forget my past.”
It was during this time that she learned about what it means to forgive those that are supposed to love and protect you and instead have hurt you the most. She freed herself by allowing God to heal her wounds and restore her years of abuse.
