Live SecondDaniel Sepulveda learns humility through letting go of his dream
When his dreams seemed to be put on hold, Daniel Sepulveda learned who to put first.
As a young boy, Daniel Sepulveda was the best at everything. Speed, coordination, skill. It fit perfectly with his dream of one day starring in the NFL. But when he became a teenager his talent edge over the rest of the pack dwindled. No longer was he a star. In fact, he was a walk-on player at Baylor.
Loss of a dream can be devastating for some people. Daniel battled this loss. Relying on his faith, prompted by his coach’s encouragement, and willing to work hard, Daniel changed positions and accomplished his dream by becoming the punter for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Along the way he has endured knee injuries, physical therapy and challenges to the dream. It hasn’t been easy, yet he knows that God is in control.
