Everyone knew Chaz Smith because everyone knew Chaz’s father, professional basketball player, Charles Smith. After a stand-out college career, a decade in the NBA, and winning an Olympic gold medal his father had made a name for himself in the world of sports.

But Chaz never wanted to play basketball. He wondered if he had value and worth outside of basketball or the shadow of his father’s fame. “Am I good enough,” was the question that constantly plagued Chaz’s mind. Various struggles, including an addiction to porn only made this doubt more dire. But a chance encounter in middle school would show him that God had something planned for his life, a plan that has now brought joy to millions across the internet.
