“Physical abuse… that’s the way I grew up.” Imagine rationalizing something as unexplainable and indecent as physical or even emotional abuse at a young age. Perhaps you don’t have to imagine; perhaps it’s as simple as remembering a moment in your own life. Though Rod Bayron promised himself he’d never be like those who hurt him, he fell into abuse himself.
The valley-low experience led him to seek a different perspective and he found himself on a mountain of change, forgiveness and freedom. Today, he looks at his children and they are at liberty to be just like him – the better him; a transformed father. It took a challenging journey of searching his own inconsistencies and a true commitment to change in order to set himself and his children free from that binding cycle.
