Cancer. Community. An involuntary hero. Ethan Hallmark’s cancer infected his young body, but his courage infected the entire community. Four years ago, Ethan was just another kid baseball player with the dream of being a doctor.  Since his diagnosis of Neuroblastoma, a rare type of childhood cancer, he became an involuntary hero and beacon of hope to those who knew him.

Why was this happening to him? He asked every hard question, while clinging onto hope. Ultimately, instead of hiding away, Ethan chose to face his fears and be a light in the darkness.

Watch Ethan’s story to see what gave him the inspiration to be that light.
