Students in the Garland, TX area have been planning all summer to blanket their schools with I am Second groups this fall. Two I am Second Student XP’s and multiple other meetings have mobilized and trained students to start I am Second groups. These student-led groups can meet in the school building or in student homes–just depends on the preference.
Follow the lead of these students from Garland- start a group today at your school.

We will have several events this fall including the River City Faith Fest on September 17 and the West Side Nut Club Fall Festival! We’ll need volunteers for these events who are comfortable explaining the I Am Second message and sharing their faith if the Holy Spirit leads the conversation to do so. I am Second will be at Universal-Orlando’s Rock the Universe on Friday September 9 and Saturday September 10. Come by our I am Second tent to get a free bracelet! I am Second friends Casting Crowns and Jason Castro will be in the house those nights!
I am Second will be out at Rock the Light all Labor Day Weekend with Special Speaker Chris Plenkenpol of I am Second speaking from mainstage on Saturday night. I am Second visits san Antonio for the first time by sponsoring the Jars of Clay concert and the San Antonio Silver Spurs Faith Night promotion on Saturday, September 3rd. Come visit us at our booth in the main concourse and get a free I am Second bracelet in the process. This is the first of many outreaches that will take place in San Antonio this fall. Keep a look out for I am Second Student and Campus XP events and other I am Second trainings in the region.
Two new films featuring survivors of the tragic day- September 11, 2001 will debut on August 29. One features a survivor of the World Trade Center who was buried in ash and debris, another survived the attack on the Pentagon. If your church is looking for compelling reminders to share in small groups or with the congregation then consider using these films during those discussions.
